I haven’t had many opportunities to play with him much with the kids around. The kids all want to talk to him but all talk at once or jump in front of him therefore, he can’t understand anything or move very much.
For him to work very well you are suppose to talk to him often. His program learns and adapts the more he’s used. There are some reports that he prefers female voices, who can blame him? If left on he is suppose to wander around. I’m going to try leaving him on in “patrol mode” and see how it goes. If I can speak to him enough and he’s around more maybe the kids will lose interest. Hey I can hope, can’t I?
Traveling with kids is always a challenge. Modern day gadgets make travel with kids better, note I didn’t say easier. Traveling can be a challenge in of itself, adding kids to the mix can almost certainly guarantee a few added surprises.
I hadn’t seen one of these in stores yet. Given its small size I have to wonder why someone would spend the same or slightly less money on one me the larger thumb drive sized adapters.
There was a TweetUp (Twitter Meet and Greet) in the Dallas/Ft Worth area on Saturday, June 21, 2008. A number of great of people attended, including Cali Lewis and husband Neal Campbell from Geekbrief TV.
For me Friday the 13th has never held bad connotations. How could it? My birthday is February 13. I was born on a Wednesday however, every few years my birthday falls on a Friday. The pattern of Friday February 13 is a strange one indeed, repeating 5, 6, 11 & 6 years. Born in 1974 and assuming the new average life span in the US I will see 12 birthdays on a Friday. If the universe has any sense of humor I might live until 2060 for my thirteen Friday the 13th birthday. The oddities of my birthday go beyond Friday the 13th. My thirteenth birthday was a Friday, stranger yet there was a full moon that year (1987). The next Full Moon on Friday, February 13 will be 2087. If I live to see this second occurrence I will be the ripe old age of 111, placing me among the oldest persons alive any given year. During my life time I will likely see three Friday, February 13 with a possible forth if I make it to age 89.

Age 2 - 1976 (My sister was born this year, coincidence? You decide. Year divisible by 13.)
Age 11 - 1981
Age 13 - 1987 (Full Moon and age divisibly by 13)
Age 24 - 1998 (First birthday living in Texas, maybe it is bad luck after all.)
I finally cashed in my Coke Reward points, all 4,000 of them. Of course I could have bought the digital picture frame for a lot less but as I’ve said I’m drinking Diet Coke anyway I might as well get something back in return. Thanks to those that shared a few points here and there, every little bit helped. In case you’re curious it took me a bit over a year and a half to amass this many points. The digital picture frame is an Audiovox DPF800 measuring 8″. The frame is by no means top of the line nevertheless is great for displaying plenty of pictures.

Lego Indiana Jones was released yesterday (June 3, 2008). We purchased for Nintendo’s Wii. If you have played Lego Star Wars (LSW) on Wii or any system for that matter, you will enjoy Lego Indiana Jones (LIJ). Game play is quite similar, even identical to LSW in may aspects. Many aspects of the game have been renamed or redesigned to suit the Indiana Jones theme. LIJ as with LSW is true to the story line of the movies with a few variations to enhance game play and make it more challenging. Read more…
